Good Neighbor House was founded out of a collaboration of eight Dayton area Seventh-Day Adventist churches who desired to make a difference by helping to meet the needs of the under-served in the Dayton community. So in 1994, the congregations came together to form Good Neighbor House, a nonprofit organization that provides food pantry services, clothing, and household items to under-served individuals and families in the Greater Dayton Region. As the need for affordable healthcare increased within Dayton’s working uninsured community, so did Good Neighbor House’s vision.
Today, Good Neighbor House offers a full range of Human and Health Services to the community as we collaborate with many local agencies to assist clients. Through the contributions of dedicated donors and volunteers, the agency is funded and supported by monetary and in-kind donations that help to make a tremendous difference in the lives of many throughout the Greater Dayton Region.
