In Emerge, Sunday is the best day of the week! We Activate students to start a lasting relationship with Jesus, Engage in discipleship through LIFEgroups, and Encounter Jesus through a life of serving others. We equip each student to love God with all their heart, soul and mind and be known by their love toward others.
Emerge Sunday Morning is a large group gathering for Middle and High School students. It is a place where everyone feels welcome. Each group has their own room. We serve food, music, play games, watch fun videos and relevant biblical teaching. Emerge is a safe place to experience Jesus and start a relationship with Him. Our teaching is relevant to students, wherever they are, and challenges them to progress through the discipleship process.
Emerge Invite Events are fun and designed for students to invite friends. We equip our youth with the skills to know how and why they should invite friends. We teach them how to share Christ with others at home, school, or wherever they are.
Here are some events Emerge has planned for the summer.
June 3: Move up Sunday (grades advance)
June 15 @ 7:30pm: Family Movie Night
June 24 @ 11:00am: Slip n Slide Kickball & Church Picnic
July 11 @ 7:00pm: Family Night at Dayton Dragons
July 29 @ 12:30pm: Pool Party at Merle and Renee’s (429 Wayside Dr. in Beavercreek)
- We care about students and what’s going on in their lives.
- We know students want to be where their friends are; that is why we make this time as fun and relevant as possible.
- We use biblical teaching to help students make wise decisions.
- We help students positively influence their friends.
- We show students the importance of serving others.
Discussion groups are an opportunity for students to deepen their relationship with Jesus through discussion within a small group community. The curriculum takes students on a journey to develop their personal relationship with Jesus. All Discussion group lessons are a follow-up to the Sunday morning message.
We believe discipleship is an important step in learning to follow Jesus. Students are encouraged to discover what God is calling them to do. They are shown how to use their own gifts and passions to impact their community for Christ. We encourage and equip them to be leaders in their church.
Encountering Jesus is all about serving others. Students need to see their own school as a mission field by sharing Christ with their friends. We encourage students to serve in the church in areas such as Children, Ushers, or Tech Team. Many opportunities are provided for youth to serve locally, regionally and globally.
Students will not be in youth ministry forever. Our goal is to equip and train them for the next step so they are ready for college or whatever life has for them. As we prepare them for the future, they are encouraged to ask questions and seek answers about their faith.
